Sarah Golightly

I trained at the Royal Academy of Dancing and Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and went on to gain a Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies and a Postgraduate Diploma in Community Dance Studies.

In 2000 I joined the Department of Learning at English National Ballet which has given me the opportunity to work creatively in a wide variety of community and educational settings.  Most recently I have become interested in the relationship between movement and positive mental well-being.

This is why I am developing a course that explores our own abilities to create dance. We will also look at the use of breath in Contemporary dance and use it as a springboard for generating our own movement vocabulary.
