Kathy has been teaching Pilates to groups and privately for over 15 years. Having originally certified with Body Control Pilates, she joined their teacher training team in 2008 where she is now a Senior Tutor on the Basic Matwork and Conversion courses as well as many Continuing Education courses for teachers.
Enabling clients to move and breath well, easily and effortlessly is the focus of her classes. By emphasizing good alignment, using classical as as well as Pilates-evolved exercises clients, over time, increase their body awareness and thereby their strength and flexibility. Ultimately, this ease of movement can be incorporated into their daily lives.
Kathy is also a dedicated yogi, and her love of movement of all sorts influences her teaching.

7.00-8.00pm Open Level/Improvers Pilates £12 drop in
In this moderately paced class using some small apparatus, clients will work at their own level to challenge strength, coordination and dynamic core stability and improve overall body awareness. From standing, to sitting to four point kneeling, be prepared move your whole body with efficient alignment and ease.

8.30- 9.30pm Intermediate Pilates Flow £12 drop in
Using a mix of Pilates evolved exercises and classical Pilates matwork, this fast paced class will focus on continuous movement with precision and connection to breath. Some apparatus may be used such as flex-bands, small balls, toning circles and light weights in order to challenge, give feedback and modify the exercises.
For those with a sound knowledge of Pilates or other movement disciplines (yogis and dancers etc welcome) and without active injuries.
