I fell in love with yoga around 10 years ago and soon began to understand the significant role the body plays in the relationship we have with ourselves and the world around us. I felt instantly immersed into something deeply spiritual that would help me make sense of who I am.
After exploring a variety of styles to include Ashtanga and Hot Vinyasana, I was led to a different kind of practice when I decided to combine my love of yoga with my love for teaching (I am also a primary school teacher) and embark on a two year teaching training diploma with Triyoga.
The training guided me to a practice where by feeling into and softening areas of tension and holding and by working with and not against the body, I found I was more able to find the space and freedom I was longing for. This in turn has helped me to cultivate a deeper relationship with and awareness of not only my body but myself as a whole person. By all means, this journey is not over, but this journey is the practice of yoga.

Inspired by my learning as well as personal experience and inquiry, I teach classes which use a mix of classic poses, some holding and some fluid movement; intelligent alignment directed towards listening to and responding to the body's natural flow of energy; and sequencing to enable the cultivation of softness as well as strength. This class is suitable for all ages and abilities.
