Cass has been practicing yoga and meditation for many years. As a yoga and mindfulness teacher and psychotherapist she weaves evidence based mind, body, and heart practices into her classes with allowing students to more fully inhabit their bodies, lives and communities.
She was trained with Heather Mason at the Minded Institute and the Insight Yoga Institute and is mentored by Sarah Powers, Insight Yoga Institute.
8.45-10.15am Yin Yoga and Inner Practices £13 drop-in
In this 90 minute Yin Yoga class Cass works compassionately with the breath to regulate the nervous system and manage stress and mood. Poses are held for 2-5 minutes, which builds strength targeting the deep connective tissues between the muscles, and the fascia throughout the body. The aim is to increase circulation in the joints and improve flexibility as the poses stretch and exercise the bone and joint areas.
Yin yoga compliments and balances a yang practice (dynamic yoga, cycling, running, spin) and helps us regulate the body’s flow of energy. Cass teaches students inner practices that help to develop flexibility of mind, reduce reactivity and cultivate a healthy and joyful appreciation of ourselves.
