Anneke Kruger

Anneke originally trained as a Pilates teacher with Body Control Pilates® in 2009. She is a fully comprehensive Pilates teacher, qualified to teach all levels of Matwork and Equipment Pilates. She also holds a Level 3 certificate for designing Pre- and postnatal programmes.

Anneke has worked with golfers, runners, cyclist and hikers to help them achieve their training goals. She has been practising Pilates and Yoga since 2004 and is a keen mountain hiker herself. She is passionate about movement and wellbeing and how this directly influences our life.

She continues to attend regular training and workshops throughout the world and has been influenced by many inspirational teachers and movement forms. Most recently she attended the Functional Anatomy for Movement and Injuries workshop at Mt Sinai Hospital in New York and she’s also completed Slings Myofascial Training Foundation Education. Her classes are energetic and aim to build strength through flowing functional movement. /

Joseph Pilates once said; “If at the age of 30 you are stiff and out of shape, you are old. If at the age of 60 you are supple and strong then you are young."

As we age we need to exercise smarter not harder. Pilates is an intelligent choice and can form an integral part to your general wellbeing. It is safe and gentle on joints, heart and lungs, but also requires a level of concentration that not only gets the most out of your body, it is also a great workout for your brain. Pilates helps improve flexibility, posture and strength, in short it improves the way you move which in turn helps you to live a better life. The class environment is also great for making new friends. 

This class will focus on improving joint mobility and core strength. We will also work on improving balance, co-ordination and posture. Classes begin with standing warm-up routine, before moving down to ‘the mat’ for floor based exercises. Open to all levels of experience.
